Playing catch up, hope I can remember all....

I cannot believe that August 2008 is almost over. This year has flown by and I wonder to myself where did it go.

Jessica has started her Senior year of high school. She has been looking into several colleges. We are keeping our fingers crossed that she will get a full scholarship to one of them. We even toured the University of Alabama in May with my Aunt Marlean and her daughter, Kelly.

I turned 39 this month and went to Camp Iwannastitch at The Dogwood Patch for my birthday. It was a fun trip and I am planning on going again next year. I met some cool folks and hope that I can keep in touch with them.

We purchased John a Playstation 3, the big one (80gb). It's cool because not only does it play video games, it has become our primary DVD player in the living room. It of course has a Blu-Ray player and you can surf the internet on it.

I joined Weight Watchers on 6/18/2008. As of 8/7/08 I had lost 9.8 pounds, but in the last 2 weeks, I gained a pound back.

I also started exercising a the gym. Tomorrow will be the start of my 3rd week. I am meeting with a training to start working with weights. I think I am doing okay on my cardio with the treadmill and eliptical machine.

I also joined Audible and it seems to make walking so much easier, because I have a book to listen to when I am walking. Somedays I don't want to stop, I want to hear more of the book.

Must get to stitching. I haven't done very much of that this past week.
