Memorial Day Weekend

Not a lot going on here this weekend. John had to work today, so Jessica and I did our girlie stuff today. We went and got pedicure's and nails done. Jessica also got her hair highlighted.

We watched the CSI finale that Mom had taped. The power went out the night that the show was on and Tivo messed up the recording.

I did some stitching last night. Caught up on some Tivo. 7th Heaven, Everwood, 2 episodes of House (still a few more to watch).

Jessica went on her first "date" last night. She went out with a young man that is 2 years older than her, but I have known his family forever. They went on a double date with friends of their's and a Mom drove and chaperoned.

Not sure what the rest of the weeknd holds. Hopefully it will be a peaceful one.

It's been a while...

I've been slacking. Not really in the mood to post. Nothing new happening except that we purchased a new vehicle yesterday. A 2002 Nissan Pathfinder. Below you will see some pictures of it.

The air conditioner had died in my old car. The catalytic converter is loose and needs fixed. Also the service engine light has been on for over a year. Currently the "old" vehicle is sitting under my Mom's carport and will be tarped soon. We are saving it for Jessica. She will save money to repair it, instead of buying a vehicle.

John is grilling steaks for dinner. I'm baking bread. We are getting ready for dinner.

It's Wednesday....

....and I have been to the gym twice this week. Woo Hoo!!!! I got on the scale at the gym this morning and I about fell on the floor. I didn't realize that I had gotten back up to 185. YUCK! I made a vow to myself that I have got to lose weight. It' really awful when you weigh more than your husband does.

Things on the BeautiControl front are going well. I've sold some stuff, but spent much more money getting things off the ground. I have not had a spa yet, so I'm going to have one at my place on Friday night, just as a dry run. I have been handing out my business card to anyone and everyone I see.

Work is going better. We are getting caught up, and that is a good thing. I hated being behind. Today the VP told us that we could wear jeans to work every day of the week, not just on Friday's. I only have one pair of jeans and they are too tight.

Cooking dinner and getting some BC stuff organized tonight. Perhaps I'll even get a few stitches in.
