Yes, I am alive.
I am posting to let all my buds know that I am still alive.
School is out. Jessica received her report card today. She is officially a Sophomore now. Wow! Am I really old enough to have a child that is almost 16?
She has her learner's permit. John and I are giving her frequent driving lessons. Sometimes she scares me, but she has to learn somehow.
We are getting ready to take a mini-vacation. At least John is. He's taking a long weekend next week. Since I have started a new job, I don't have any available time off to take. We have decided to make a day trip to Lake Winnepesaukah. It is a small amusement park in Chattanooga, TN. We are taking Jessica's boyfriend with us. It should be an interesting day.
I'm reading an interesting book that my friend Melanie suggested. It's called You Can Heal Your Life by Louise L. Hay. I have some issues with myself and the last time I visited Mel, we had a mini therapy session.
Mel -- I remeber my new mantra: " I love and accept myself and I deserve the best of everything.
I repeat this to myself as often as I can....mostly all day. It seems to be working.
I sometimes forget what a beautiful place I live in. When I drive to work in the morning, I get to drive across two separate parts of Lake Guntersville, I often see several herons standing on the shore and the other morning I saw two osprey's doing some fishing. It's very beautiful and I love the smell of the lake, although my daughter hates it. She thinks it stinks.
We converted the guest room to an office, so if you come to visit, you can either stay in a hotel or a blow up mattress on the floor of the "office". In this room, I also have a stitching corner, so I've been getting in much more stitching time.
That's about it for now, time to turn in. Work tomorrow and the time sheets come rolling in from our 187 stores.
