Lot's of Changes

Wow! A lot has changed since I last posted, besides the date. LOL!

I have become the mother of a college student and she is currently in basic training at Ft. Leonard Wood in Missouri. She is attending Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, AL. She is studying to be a nurse.

I became unemployed in January of 2009, but for the last 6 months I have been
working part time at The Knitting Zone. KZ is the North American distributor of Hiya Hiya knitting needles.

It's been an interesting time.

University of Alabama

John, Jessica and I attended "Univeristy Days" at the Univeristy of Alabama yesterday. It was a very long day, lots of walking and lots of rain.

Jessica has already been accepted to U of A and she has been accepted to the Lower Division of the College of Nursing. She is on her way to being "BAMA BOUND".

My baby is leaving home. Although she will be going to the "wrong" school. She needs to be going to Auburn University, but she is not even interested.

Today she and John spent the morning tweaking her resume and doing a mock interview. Jess has and interview with the Air Force ROTC scholarship board on Tuesday. We are wishing her luck and keeping our fingers crossed. If she can get an ROTC scholarship, we don't have to worry too much about paying for college.

Which Sports Car Are You?

I'm an Audi TT!

You're not the fastest, nor the most nimble, but you're cute and you have style. You're not intensely competitive, but when you pass by, everyone turns to look.

Take the Which Sports Car Are You? quiz.

Thanks for the encouragement

Manic & Thin, thanks for the encouragement. It really helps. I was getting frustrated and it's all really my own fault. I am not following the plan like I should. On the weeks I follow the plan I lose weight and on the weeks I don't I gain it right back. It's the old take 2 steps forward and one back.

Two weeks ago I lost 2 pounds and this past week I gained the 2 pounds back. I'm just thankful it was not more.

Happy Anniversary!! (yesterday)

Yesterday, Sept 18th was mine and John's anniversary. We've been married for 19 years. WOW!!!! He and Jessica sent me flowers at work. Here they are:

From Miscellaneous Photos

Very pretty! We are going to dinner on Saturday night to celebrate.

Yesterday was also my weigh in day at Weight Watchers. I'm down another 2 lbs. Only .2 away from a 15 pound loss. Woo Hoo! I know, just the other day I was ready to give up.

Eggs & Such

Not sure what to write as a title, so this is what I came up with.

DD spent the night with a friend last night so hubby and lounged in bed this morning.

When we got up, just as I was about to do my body test on the Wii, the power went out. So we decided to go into to town and hope the power was not out there too. We ate breakfast at Huddle House. I had scrambled eggs with cheese, toast w/grape jelly and grits. I could not eat all of it, cause I got full.

We then went to Wal-mart to do some shopping. My tummy started to rebel. I guess all the butter that they cook with at Huddle House didn't agree with my tummy. Hubby says it's cause I haven't eaten that kind of food in about 13 weeks.

Also had the car washed. DD's Jr. Civitan club were washing cars, so we shopped and got out car washed.

Home now, just chilling. We are watching Good Charlotte on HDnet. Probably some college football later. Definately some NFL tomorrow. Hopefully I will get lots of stitching done this weekend.

I'm so ready to give up...

WW that is.

It's so hard making changes to your lifestyle. It's too hard to try and eat healthy when the rest of your family can eat what they want. It's too hard to get up at 5:00a.m. and go to the gym for a hour before work.

I know, I know....suck it up and drive on. I plan on doing that, but I just wanted to whine.

I've only been doing WW for 13 weeks and I've lost a total of 13.6 pounds, but last night was weigh in and I'm back up .8. I know it's a measly .8 and I have to remember that it has taken me 17 years to put on this extra 50 pounds and it's not going to come off over night or in just a few weeks. I need to shoot for an average of 1 pound per week and at the end of the year I will have lost 52 pounds.

It's just soooooo hard.
